Anti theft?

Post by moggydriver62 »

The last job I had before going to the colonies, was with ataxi company in London.
in 1959. The cabs had 4 hydraulic jacks on them. Two on front and two on rear axles.
I am wondering if thease are available . Pos scrap yards.? Very handy plus jack it up
when you leave it parked, makes it hard to steal. 8) 8)
kenny.

no idea with regards your question, however jacking it up might make it harder to steal, but make it much easier for someone to steal your wheels!

i know wolseley 4/44's had these, but even then they where an optional extra and thus like hens teeth, but it might be worth having a trawl around ebay for something that had them that is being broken for spares.

However, mounting them could be interesting as well. the wolseley had its own hydraulic system, hole in the floor to pump each cylinder and a very very robust chassis to cope with the inevitable stress that this would be subject to.

safer to just whip off the rotor arm or something like that
