carburetor of MM 1000
what is the part " A" ( look image ) of carburetor - What is the affair (job) of this part - petrol come out ( leaking ) from " B" joint - what should I do ? what happened to it ?[frame]

Part A is the carburettor float chamber. When your petrol pump is ticking it is pumping fuel into this chamber. This is then drawn into the carb itself as you go along. There is a plastic float inside this housing which regulates the amount of fuel you take into the carb. If it is leaking at part B this is because the gasket between the top and body of the float chamber is probably worn out. Alternativley, the float itself is damaged and is allowing too much petrol into the float chamber. The float acts like a valve and when the float chamber is full, it shuts off the flow of fuel into the carb until the level drops a bit. You can get most replacement parts and a service parts set with all the gaskets and bushes to refurbish your carb from Burlen Fuel systems at the address below.

If you are lucky, there should be a small triangular tab of aluminium attached to one of the screws on the float chamber lid which will tell you which carb is fitted to your car - it will say something like AUD31 or similar. You can check via the Burlen website which model you have too if this tab is missing

Yes - float valve is worn or sticking open. You can (carefully) try cleaning it.
