my van is fitted with a 1300 x flow it runs ok with the choke full on, push it home and the engine is very lumpy!!! but if i block the air filter it runs good but faster :-? what needs doing :wink:

Fix an air leak would be my guess, what carb is fitted?

Fit an SU carb!! Sorry - but I have absolutely NO idea about Ford carbs....... when I ran a Capri I removed the Ford carb and fitted a twinchoke Weber downdraught - it worked well!

have you asked on a ford site?

I am dropping a fiat twin cam in my car.. all of my questions will be aimed at fiat websites
