Re: carpet
Having bought a carpet set for my car which was total c**p I decided to make the next set for the van. Just bought 4m of car carpet from the restoration show for £15. Its rubber backed and so wont fray when cut.

Re: carpet
Bull motif sprares do a very good quality carpet set in black, they call it economy one. buy a saloon and you can cut it down and fit it, there all a good fit around the pedals and gearbox tunnel, there edged and have a heel pad for drivers feet. there not expensive either and i would recomend a good quality sound proofing kit, theres some on ebay for around £30 and are good and as said above by a previous member rubber backed isnt good as wouldnt dry out if moisture gets underneath. Also only spray glued down the wheel arch sections and inner sill sections. the others can then be removed if you have to ever take gearbox tunnel off, get to brake master cylinder and or if you get a water leaks from windscreen or seals or even a heater mattrix leak.... trust me i no. and if the floors are not mint, then a good wire brush up, and coat of red oxide and hammerite smooth in the colour of your car or black will keep all the floors good. If you want them mint youll have to spray properly body colour, but a non show concours car the red oxide and hammrite smooth, underlay and nice carpet set will tidy all up, further more new gear stick gattor and pedal rubbers would finish it a treat and i would repaint the seat clamps and the seat base tubes toooooo! I like doing this kind of work makes a major big difference to the inside of a minor !
