Bonnet Release

Post by KatiePotatie »

The pull handle has come loose from the bonnet release catch & my arms aren't long enough to reach up behind the radiator to pull the catch. Does anyone have any idea how I can open the bonnet?!

Just a reminder that it's not really a good idea to post info about how to do this on an open forum. Please send any response to Katie via pm. Thanks :)

Thank you to everyone who replied!! I managed to get it open eventually with a mixture of everyones suggestions. And I have made sure to fix xomething in the little hole on the bottom of the arm so it doesn't happen again!

True, true, I don't disagree -- but anybody who has the cahunas to not just smash a window and instead (edited by LouiseM) I'd stand back and applaud, and let him take the car for a drive! :D :D

Well most of us wouldn't. and don't appreciate any clues being given as to how to open any part of the car.

I was only joking, Sim! Of course I wouldn't want anyone to steal my car.

As Katie has now got her bonnet open I'll lock this thread. Giving any sort of hint on a public forum as to how to open bonnets or break into Minors when you lose your key etc isn't wise as you don't know who's reading the posts. Best to be on the safe side so I've edited a few messages following members requests. Hopefully people appreciate the reasons for this but any problems send me a pm and I'll be happy to discuss.

Lou
