Diff rebuild.

Post by rocket3 »

Had a half shaft shear a couple of weeks ago turning out of an inclined junction, as i live at the bottom of the hill and close to home i and was able to turn her around coast back. a handfull of neighbours helped me push her up the drive into the garage. The diff now out and the broken piece extracted i gave the workings the once over, both crown wheel bearings were very noisy and ripe for replacing, i`ve taken the axle down and cleaned off the crudd and have given it a few coates of paint along with the road springs and shocks, i`ts looking good!. i`ll rebuild the diff this weekend as all the new parts have arrived and then spray it when completed, can anyone give me the torque settings for the 4 crownwheel nuts..
