battery top up

Post by Willie »

Winter is coming so,following on from an interesting discussion about
two years ago about checking the levels on your allegedly "maintenance
free" batteries, if your battery allows access to the cells then check
the levels. My Halfords' Maintenance free' battery took 1/3rd of a litre!!
and,as a result of being topped up, is still going strong after five and a half years.

yep - more proof that maintenance free actually means "will work till the guarantee runs out without topping up!"

I always top mine up about once a year, if yours doesn't allow cell access then bin it as soon as it goes up the creek & get one that does!! :)
