MOT Cetificate

Post by tilly17 »

My husband has just had my Traveller MOT'd. On returning home we noticed that the make of car was listed as an AJS not Morris. The MOT Centre said that this came straight from VOSA and that they do not recognise Morris. Has anyone else had this problem? The car has been re-tested and the make put in as Morris but with much hassle.

Why on earth would VOSA recognise AJS and not Morris !!!!
Its total rubbish. Your details "might" be incorrect on the DVLA database but Morris is definately recognised.....

If i were you i'd contact the DVLA MoT section and check what details are held for your car, if the details are wrong on the DVLA database you may have a problem with the national ANPR ( Automatic Number Plate Recognision) system used by the Police worst case they can seize the car and destroy it, best case your charged with recovery £250 and daily staorage until the matter is sorted.

What did it say on the previous MOT ?? Or is this the first test after a long lay-off?? They must surely have noticed it had 4 wheels.....not 2.....

I think its a common fault on the vosa computer at mot centres, but once the tester has imput the true details then all will be fine, its another way in which the authorities get someone else to do their work just like self assesment tax forms
