sunroof

Post by gub »

Did any travellers come with a sun roof as an option when built ? does anyone do any for them now?

I'm certain that none came with them originally (or at least I'd be very surprised if I am wrong). I imagine such a retrofit wouldn't be terrifically difficult for a competent engineer.

Just stick your head out the window........the roof on the Trav is weak enough already without hacking holes in it!

As bmcecosse said stick your head out the window, i wouldn't recommend it 2 reasons not that many after market suppliers anymore as most moderns come with a sunroof, and you've got to think of the four way curve in the roof would you get a good seal without distorting the roof panel, leaky leaky i think.

If you want the wind in your hair turn the air-con on!
Also known as turning the quarter light till the edge faces forwards.
Don't force it if it doesn't want to go but normally they will, and are very effective at keeping you cool, while you are moving anyway.

All the side windows should slide open, how much more fresh air can you need?

Aye -but can you afford the petrol for the V8! The 2 litre slant 4 is fast enough to enjoy, and remarkably economical.

Take a look at this.

I saw it in the flesh once at a garage in Bristol and it has a full sunroof but when I saw it the headlining was off and you could see the additional support structure that had been built in.

The last page gives the best view.
