Hi, i am thinking in going on the pass plus to get cheaper insurance, i already know you get a discount with mmoc membership. Does Footman James accept Pass Plus with MMOC Membership?
Cheers

Re: Pass Plus
I once took a ROSPA test with the idea of getting cheaper insurance. Turns out the only companies who recognised it were the dearer companies anyway so it didn't save me a penny.
Re: Pass Plus
Probably best to contact FJ directly to see whether it will make a difference to your insurance.

Re: Pass Plus
Ben the Pass Plus coarse is a UK wide recognised coarse open to anyone who has recently passed their driving test weather your 18 or not it doesn't matter, take it and learn from it, we need to improve driving standards and any extra training after you pass your test is in my opion highly recomened, i would also contact the institute of advanced mototists, do a basic coarse with them it may not get you cheaper car insurence but it'll make you a more aware driver, they are mainly ex police advanced instructors. the british police advanced driving coarse is one the best in the world.

Re: Pass Plus
By all means take Pass Plus, or IAM, as someone says above it's always good to raise your standard of driving, but...
Understand Insurance:
- It is a scam
- Insurance follows the same rules as bookmaking, except the bookie can be relied on to pay you, the insurer will lie, and wriggle and cheat his way out
- Any 'discount' in insurance is applied only after the premium has been artificially raised so the revenue is always the same
- FJ's discount for MMOC membership only reduces the premium back to other insurers' non-discounted rates
Don't be fooled, shop around every year for every insurance policy you have.
