I have been a member for only 1 month and already apart from the hints and tips on the site,the friendly people I meet at the shows and the message boards ,it has saved me £58 on my RAC membership renewal,fantastic !!!! I look forward to the future

my classic car insurance includes breakdown , so no need to have a seperate cover

Great so does mine, but i also have 2 modern cars plus a classic scooter plus a modern scooter plus a caravan,so great value

1983 Vespa, 2011 LML. Enfield now sold. MZ (no photos of that yet) just bought, I saw the MZ for sale outside someone's house on the way back from Mersea island Scooter Rally last week:)[frame]

@lambrettalad my first 'machine' was a 1959 Lambetta LD which I bought in 1967 and had all the 'Mod' gear on including carriers and mirrors

I skimmed the cylinder head to up the compression and it really could go, but snapped the crankshaft once and had to replace that, then it started to eat drive shafts so it eventually went.

Your picture brings back a lot of happy memories though. I have a picture (somewhere) of me with it at the time, which I'll see if I can dig out and scan.

Iknow what you mean ,i had onein '67 and drove it with no clutch,(no bread man

) before the drive shaft let go! The LD was the last of the Lammys to have a shaft ,all moved on to chains. You did well to to tune it ,mine has a top speed of 45 down hill !!
I'm tuning it very soon I'm going on a diet !!!!!

The Nsu Prima was the same as the LD but made a bit stronger

hi and i think the Nsu also had a two hundred cc engine,i thought i saw a red one on ebay recently

150 and 175 and they had an electric start on the 175 and around 11 bhp

but for me the Maicoletta was the best
