how can one tell if a block has been rebored?
would they have the rebore amount stamped on the piston?
i ask as i want to put my new pistons from one my old engine into my new engine. the new pistons are standard bore and i am not sure if the new engine block has been rebored or not.
so something like cylinder diamaters of the standard bore would be good or obvious signs to look for would also be good.
how to tell if an engine has been rebored

Re: how to tell if an engine has been rebored
if you clean up the top face of the pistons, you should see '010' or '020' etc.
Oddly on one of mine the pistons say '0.508' which is a metric value for 20 thou.
these marks will be right on the edge, before the dish starts.
