Re: 1960 Morris Minor
Looks Good Josh
my colour choice would be post office red, but metallic blue would look good on a minor too.
Good Luck

Hi!
I did this kidney panel repair yesterday, but with an invisible mod to eliminate the water trap that causes the problem in the first place. I've posted in "Bodywork"....."Long time no see...."
I've asked for help on how to get pictures up, as I have a diagram ready to go.
Possibly too late for you now, having welded up your repair, but maybe worth a look to see if the idea grabs you. I really hate this design fault, and in your shoes I would cut out what I'd done, and go for the mod. It's quick to do and an easy weld.
(Re uploading pictures......see how yours come up just as text from my end ????????????
)

Am experiencing upload nirvana!
Re, from earlier post:
"........and in your shoes I would cut out what I'd done, and go for the mod."
This is my way of expressing how much this fault irritates me.............in no way am I telling you what to do
. Nor am I implying that this mod is the best thing since mods started.
Just an idea.

Re: 1960 Morris Minor
WOW, You guys don't hang around. Took me 4 years to finish the welding on my moggie, and still not finished. Guess I'm a slow worker. Just uploaded my project, so take a peak and any advice, suggestions are more than welcome.

Re: 1960 Morris Minor
Sorry to hear you arn't going to be posting anymore - can we continue following the restoration on any other forums?

all i need to do is weld the front inner sill in and a strip where the crossmember went then i can lower it back on the floor and weld up the inner wing and a post then the rear c post then i am going on to the other side and doing the cills and floor then the crossmember and then the chassis leg and thats all the welding done

Re: 1960 Morris Minor
if that floor is staying as a flat sheet, it'll drum and flex and vibrate something rotten! the orignal wasn't flat for a reason!
i hope you're gonna put some ribs or something on to keep it rigid.
