I'm very much mistaken, it can't be the rocker cover, its got a brand new fitted cork seal, this is the culprit, the heater tap/valve is letting the water escape from the joint between it and the engine block, but why?[frame][/frame]

Make sure you clean both faces as they can, and often do get a bit clogged up with **** from the water system. (yes i learnt this after the first seal i fitted still leaked..)

just to be sure Ive got her out in the sun and the garage floor can dry off so I can be double sure there is no escape of water. Of course it's still not under pressure yet, not untill she is running, soon I hope.[frame][/frame]

If a bit of " spilt water " is your only problem, in the pre start up period, count yourself a very lucky man.Long may it continue.

Good luck with the water leak! The other end of the loop pipe , (where it fits onto the metal section that goes around the rocker cover),looks likely to be the next area of trouble! From the photo it looks as though the rubber pipe is a bit broken down at that end, and exiting from the jubilee clip at a dodgy angle!
And please, please, cut a couple of feet off the battery end of the red power cable, bare the last 40mm of insulation, and clamp it in the battery terminal using the two screws provided!

Grease applied to a very dry windscreen wiper motor using a wooden stick given out with your fish and chips[frame][/frame]

yes and this earth location, I had it on the battery bar in the previous picture, is this the correct earth, i disced it back to bare metal when I fitted it before.[frame][/frame]

the wiper boxs must attach at the front and bolt up trapping the wiper cable at the back of the wiper box between it and its back plate.[frame][/frame]

That grease should hold it for the next 30 or 40 years .
While things are still loose I'd fit the grommet in the bulk head, once it's all bolted up it will be a struggle.
If the tube is as hard up against the side of the hole as it appears a modicum of brute force should put it right.

yep thats the correct earth. if you dont have a battery clamp you will need one for the MOT.
