I presume you mean '295', not 925. 925 was a Dolly Parton song wasn't it? :lol:

Price would reflect condition surely. I think £50 is common for a 940 on ebay.

Depends how the thing is "hyped up"! Most 940 heads now seem to get tagged "performance upgrade" (meaning on a smallbore engine), and can go way over the £50 mark. I think you could consider yourself lucky to get one below that, unless you live in Scotland, of course :roll: The 295 heads would probably respect a higher premium still, due to the kudos attached to them!

Indeed -I used to pick up the 940 heads for £10/20 each - wish I had stashed away a few more...... In deed rare to see one go for less than £50 now. The 295 used to never sell for much less than £75 - and still that seems to be the case. the 940 is by far the better head - so it's a better buy!

Thanks i just found about 5 295 heads and 4 940 heads at the back of my garage i didnt know i had :o Twin carbs etc from my mini days . i agree Roy the 940 is a far better head and as linear said people still like the 295

Don't know nuffink about different heads and numbers. Is there a chart of the differences?

there is a chart in the vizard big yellow bible.

gives you all the casting numbers, standard valve sizes, and combustion chamber volume.
