Should there be rubber seals around boot lid and bonnet? No trace of any on my recently purchased Minor 1000.

Re: Boot and Bonnet seals
There should be a full length seal around the boot and just rubber buffers on the bonnet.
Too many Minors so little time.....

And also a rubber strip across the top of the bulkhead, which as far as I can tell does nothing.

Re: Boot and Bonnet seals
Thank you for the information. I have now ordered a boot sealing rubber. Perhaps the bonnet strip stops ratling?

The bonnet seal stops water running into the engine bay, mostly at rest. When I didn't have this on mine water would run down there, under the battery, through a hole, onto the parcel tray, through another hole and then directly onto my left sock.
The seal does keep the engine bay dryer.

Re: Boot and Bonnet seals
I now have the late type rubber seal to fit on the boot lid. What do you recommend for sticking it in place? I had expected it to be self adhesive!
Thanks,
Mike

Something like Evostick Timebond which allows a little time to get it into place before it "Sticks"
