the heater tap on primrose is leaking from the top
considering its literally 2 years and 2 months old, i am reluctant to fork out another £15 for a new one, so is it possible to replace a seal in it or something??
n.b, its the actual tap and not the cable valve that i have fitted, the cable valve always breaks on mine, so i assumed a tap out be easier to use and less to go wrong with it (apparently not)

Re: leaking heater tap
Try gently tightening the nut on top of the body of the tap. Also tighten the tap onto the base plate

Re: leaking heater tap
yes i discovered that one, in removing the spindle the brass retaining washer crumbled. so i have had to botch it back together until i can get a new one. fudge
Re: leaking heater tap
Surely you can find a replacement washer ..... Did you find any packing seal in there?

Re: leaking heater tap
My new one leaked a little bit too, I slightly embarrassed to say I ended up letting London water stop the leak.
I have to drink it so it only seems fair

Re: leaking heater tap
no packing material of any kind, just a rubber washer at each end of the plunger, one to turn it on/off and the other one to stop water seaping out between the stem and the casting. thats the one that was leaking.
