heater wont work now
hello all i have drained the coolant back flushed the rad refilled with anti freeze ready for the winter,i had the heater tap open when i did this ,ranr the engine with the cap off watched the leval in the header tank go down as the stat opened ,but the heater will not work even thoigh i can feel heat in the pipe .

This is how you spend your Birthday - flushing out the cooling system ??? Take it out for a good hard run - it WILL work!

When you say it doesn't work, so you mean that the fan does not blow, or that it does not get hot?
Did you flush the heater as well as the radiator? If not, then remove both heater pipes and fludh through. You shouldn't need to primn it, but you can by holding the pipes in the air higher than the heater and pourinf water down one until it comes out of the other. Then place a thumb over each pipe and whip the thumb away at the last minute as you push the pipe back onto the tap / return pipe. Other than that, as above, give it a good run.
