Tubular door key?

Post by picky »

1969 Morris Minor 4 door. When we bought it, it came with this door lock installed. I am struggling to find someone who can cut me a spare key, as I only have one and it is pretty worn. It is a smaller diameter (just under 7mm) than normal tubular "bike lock" keys. I dont know if buying a standard key barrel would fit back in, as it may have been modified to suit the tubular key barrel. Any keen key cutters out there before I buy a new lock??[frame]Image[/frame]

An auto locksmith search on Yell.com turns up .....Timpson,locksmith and safe engineers...they sound like professionals rather than the shoe repairer who cuts household keys. They've got a few branches in York.

That's a Kensington Security Slot lock.
