Hi, I'm in Stockport - Woodley to be precise. This, I'm thinking is a job where a garage would say... 'oohh... we can do it, but'... and then the pound signs. I need to do this myself, for financial and 'heart' reasons. But where the heck to start?

Oh, on a good note, other areas seem okay... for example the front arches and suspension mounts:[frame]Image[/frame]

Yes, standard Minor repair. At least it has not been patched over and over! Several layers if metal patches are far harder to cut off than the remains of rusty sills.

Hi, supposing I took it to a garage, and supposing the other side is the same - how much would this cost do you think, roughly, to put right?

Thanks, that makes what it should look like clearer - I think however that there is no good bottom a or b posts... and possibly floor edge... to weld to.

I am having a cry

Much more than the car will be worth after it has been done I'm afraid.

Some pictures of the chassis legs that run either side of the engine underneath would be educational, also the cross member that runs across the car roughly in the middle.

Hmnnn.. other areas seem fine - but cash is short and I have atraveller to work on as well which doesn't have rust issues like this, all sills present and correctish, and no surprises as yet, I have even had a life long morris ite look at it and been quite impressed. Maybe I should sell this saloon and put the money into keeping the traveller A1... well maybe A2![frame]Image[/frame]
