One of 4 indicators not working

Post by ashleywakeling »

Hey there, what would seem a simple fix has PERPLEXED me beyond belief.
My right hand side front indicator is not working. The bulb is fine, the earth, fine, the switch is working becuase the rear one is being activiated (but running at twice the speed) hence, the flasher relay is fine (also checked with another) all cabling and wires seem to be fine. Anyone any ideas? Becuase im at a loss at this point. Im still driving it, but would like to have it fixed ASAP.

Thanks - Ashley :)

Bad contact in the bulb holder - if you are SURE that bulb is ok. If any doubt - swap it with the other side.

The bullet connectors in the engine bay can corrode giving a bad contact though looking okay.
Pull the bullets out and inspect the inside of the sleeve, is it rusty?

On swapping the bulbs it still doesnt work so its definately not the bulb and the holder becomes more probable. The bullets look to be fine to be honest. As do the holders. How would i go about sprucing up the holder? :)

Squirt in WD40 and wiggle it about....... but realistically - it probably needs a new one.

Squirt in WD40 anyway - to help keep things nice.
