van roof/carpet

Post by les »

I was toying with the idea of sticking hessian backed carpet to the roof of the van, do you think condensation would be an issue between carpet and roof panel?

I think it will be constantly soaking wet - and will rot the roof. That's if it doesn't constantly fall off as the glue weakens with the damp......

Just inside the cargo area to help reduce any drumming. I was hoping the adhesive would form a barrier to eliminate moisture. I will now have to consider your replies, thanks.

Stick-on mastic panels for the drumming - but not the prettiest things of course. Can you not adapt a Traveller headlining ?

Thanks, another option there. Traveller lining might be prone to damage in a van, but thanks for the thought.
