Hi.I am just replacing the rear springs on my morris can anyone tell me what stops the shackle Pin (front of rear spring )from coming out of it's locating bracket when tightening the nut.(the bracket that bolts to the hanger)or should it stop when it has reached it's limit.Cheers.

Just the compression of the bushes - and the length of the thread. Hopefully you are fitting polyurethane bushes......

Hi

There is a step in the shackle pin which when the nut is tightened stops against the mounting bracket.
