Area between rear spring hangar and sill.

Difficult to explain but..
Scenario is:
3 door. Around 4-6 inches from the rear spring hanger towards the side of the car is rotten but the hanger and surrounding metal are good and solid.
I dont want to replace the spring hanger as I think it'll be more work lining up a new one and generaly messing about.
Can I 'assume' that some of this area will be included if I fit a new floor edge panel and full undersill panel?

Yes, a rear floor edge panel includes the bit where the hole is, but to be honest, you might need to replace the hanger as well. Would be a shame if rust came through in that area in a few years.

Remove the rear seat and shine a torch through the holes in the seat base and have a look at the top of the spring hanger area.

Another way round this is to remove the seat base and access the area that way to clean up thew inside of the box section. THE seat base can then be plug welded back to the floor of the car.

Already done.
I wouldnt believe it (given rot proximity) if I didnt see it but the hanger really is solid.
The car's been undercover and not moved for 2 years so I guess it stopped it getting any worse.

I think you will struggle to get good bright steel to weld to - but no harm trying.......
