Headlights
I have purchased new headlights & bowls for my Traveller and they come with a little spring. Can anybody advise me where this fits?
Re: Headlights
The spring is for holding the metal dish used on sealed beam units intoto the headlamp bowl.
There will be a clip inside the headlamp bowl to attach to unless you have the earlier type headlamp.

Re: Headlights
If there are springs on the adjuster screws you may not need them. If you need them, use them, if the light unit is secure without them, don't bother.

Re: Headlights
These springs are about 4cm long in total with a hook at each end. Could they be to hold the reflector to thr bowl som how?

Re: Headlights
Thanks all.
I have fitted the spring with a bit of difficulty, but what do you expect. Anybody know how to adjust them?

Re: Headlights
Adjust with the vertical and horizontal adjustment screws, funnily enough....... The spring should not have been difficult to fit! It merely holds the bowl back on the stops. Are you asking for suggestions how to judge if the beam is correctly set? Can't beat a dark road and some trial and error ! Or go pay the local garage to do it for you..........
