Hello everyone,
I need to replace the interior mirror in my 1965 traveller. The current one is shown here: http://www.morris-minor.co.uk/p626.htm. Does anyone know if there is a good alternative that can be fixed using the current bolt holes (rather than a suction cup)? Has anyone tried the one here: http://www.morris-minor.org/interior-mi ... p-678.html ? I would prefer metal rather than plastic and a larger size of mirror, if possible.
Also, does anyone know of a good replacement interior (courtesy) light? Mine is crumbling away. The one I currently have is like the (rather expensive) one shown here: http://www.morrisminorspares.net/shop_item.php?ID=1898, but is there a sturdier, modern version (perhaps with LEDs)?
Thank you in advance for your advice.
David

Re: Interior mirror and light
I have a larger rear mirrror which clips over the existing mirror in my Traveller.
All the Minor interior lights are pretty feable, try something out of a more modern car.
For a bit more light on the parcel shelf a 2W parking light does the job without distracting the driver. It is wired into the inst light switch[frame]

Re: Interior mirror and light
I have just bought 2 of these 24 LED flexible strips
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-white-24- ... 2c5ce5cf1a
fixed up under the dash with small cable ties, they are very bright and cost £3.18 for 2 strips, one in the Morris and one in the MG.

Thanks for the advice.
Does anyone know if this will work as a direct replacement?

Re: Interior mirror and light
It looks good, but the shape of the front of the windscreen in the minor is curved (where the mirror fits) That looks as though it's more right angled to me? Just an observation. I have seen a replacement mirror on Ebay from a firm that looked about right.
