So the old girl has been sold. In many ways I'll be sad to see her disappear at the end of the road.
:-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :( :-? :o :(

So the good news....I only lost about £4600 in total cost of ownership!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

And I've sold her to a Vicar, and she is off to live in London next Friday. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

So let there be no tears.....

Now, just one more thing.

My sincere thanks to all of you who have assisted me in resolving all those issues that new minor owners have. I've been on here for a few years now, and the advice that you guys offer and the help that you give is second to none.

I will miss the old girl....who knows I might just return to Minor Ownership - it's been great!

All the best for the future!!!!!

Fond regards.

Graham. :-? 8) :-? 8) :-?

Shame to be moving away from Minor ownership - how on earth did it cost you £4600 over the years ??? Can only imagine you paid well over the odds originally..... Once the fuel consumption cost of that XJ6 sinks in - you WILL be back, I'm sure!!

Two MOTs alone cost me £500 and £350 for welding......

Plus the general upgrades and replacements parts over the 5 and a half years. Still I did 20k miles in her....so its only 23p a mile!

Sorry BMC re your comment about the Jag (which I had for four years) - I've updated my signature, I sold it at end Jan. You were right about the mileage tho! :o

And the good Reverend picked up his new lady last night. She performed like a superstar as we whizzed around Worsley, and off he went to drive down to London.

Myself and my nine-year old daughter watched her disappear out of the road....there wasn't a dry eye.

I'm not for the moment. Acquired a 1992 VW Golf about 5 weeks ago, its got a genuine 33000 miles on and is ace.

Just flew through its' MOT too. Waiting to pay the bill for my Lan Cruiser repairs (some £700 :-? ), and rotating use for travelling between the Chrysler and the Golf.

Though I did look through all 3000 classic cars on ebay this evening........ :D :D :D :D :D
