Things are moving on quite quickly now. Shell has been painted but will post some proper pics once connected to chassis and rolled out into the sunshine! (Quote Rich)
The textured finish you can see on the inner wings is the Shalts & the stone chip.

great progress, remind me not to park my finished pickup next to your finished pickup. Could be demoralising for one of us, and not the one from the channel islands either.
smile, you never know, you might be winning.
Oh, David, your pickup will look glorious! I think the two pickups ought to be parked together...that much Moggie Awesomeness in one spot might cause the second coming of Alec Issigonis.
The way to a man's heart may be making food, but the way to my heart is buying me car parts!
Come read about my Minor at An American Moggie.
Yep it's Shalts seam sealer, its a rubber type of sealer which is heavier duty than standard stuff. Its not as pretty, but as this is going to be Peters daily driver is has to hard wearing.
How's it going Taupe, when you getting back on the traveler?
Yes, I asked for hard wearing over prettyness. The pickup will mainly live outside and be my day to day car. Could have purchased a Nissan or mitsubishi pickup like all the plumbers over here, but I recon this one will outlast them!

Here are some more pictures. No glory ones of a shiny painted body, just hard graft sorting out rotten panels.
I can now see why It would have been good to find another new old stock side as the original was really bad.
Had big problem with photobucket so many pictures in limbo!

Just a few more bits need painting, door and cab back. Its frustrating that even though new front wings were purchased, a fair bit of work was required to dents and things to bring them up to standard. Still well done Rich!

Rich recons the pickup will be ready within 1 month and as I am making my workshop into a 2 bedroom house I have had to downsize a bit and am making a pickup garage and workshop.(On an extremely small budget using all the leftovers from jobs) Max size allowed 20sqm internally without planning or building by-law permission!
Fitting in in-between jobs so slow progress. So far 16 hrs work for 2 men.
Got lucky on local for sale site £150 pair of Aluminium doors and window only 1 year old taken from new house being altered.
Oh and a picture of my puppy

Well a little progress with garage dodging showers and waiting on steel fixers on main contract.
Glued shuttering ply with polyurethane glue to stiffen so thought a lick of paint would help.
Oh and Tub coming along should get some more pics soon.
