doctors on bbc1 - marse miner storyline

Post by xpress »

hi there. here's how the storyline went. as far as i can gather, (i came into this late, i promise you, i am not a "doctors" watcher), the old guy couldn't get his marse miner started, and this younger guy got it started and said to him, "it's the coil".

i can see BMC shouting at the tv with his pipe and slippers .. "it's hardly ever the coil !!!"

(ps it was a blue marse miner).. :D

What's "marse"? Where can it be mined - deep or open cast? Is it valuable? Why was the miner blue - was he cold or having a heart attack? Sounds like a strange programme :-?
