Funny thing when reversing

These last few days when I reverse my car out of the garage it seems like either the diff of the reverse gear is slow to select when reversing. what I mean is, I put the car in reverse then release the clutch after about 2 seconds I can feel a jerk, like as if either the brakes were locked up then released or if the gearbox was slow to get into gear after selecting reverse or maybe the diff was slow to engage, anybody else experienced this????

Clutch pedal seized up so it is slow to release?

What do I need to do then???

Lift carpet and gearbox cover - and apply lots of oil to the pedal shaft and bushes!
