Wiper spindle bushes-available?

Post by Trabantdave »

Hello,

Does anyone know if the wiper wheelbox spindle bushes are available separately?

As new wheelboxes for my 1960 clap-hands model are about 30 quid each I would rather refurbish than replace!

Regards

Dave

As Dennis says - it's not the spindle bushes that usually wear - it's the teeth on the gear. Turning 180 degrees gives them a whole new lease of life.

I'm assuming it was a spindle bush; part of a dark grey or black nylon ring about 10mm diameter and a bit more top to bottom.....

Found it on the scuttle next to the wiper arm - a sort of barrel shape, thicker in the middle than at the ends - if not the bush, does this description sound familiar?

If not, I can only guess that someone liked my car so much that they threw a piece of cack at it......

Thanks

Dave
