What Colour is my Engine?!

Hi all, i want to repaint the engine but i'm not sure what colour it is.
I dont think its BMC green because its much darker.
any ideas? and does the coulour carry any history with it?

Looks like someone has previously just painted it with whatever paint they had to hand. You can get BMC green engine paint from most of the Minor suppliers or ebay if you want to return it to the original specification.

That is definately frog green the paint you need is on ebay in morris minor spares and not very expensive

Like the bloke above said, Mid-Bronze Green Landrover colour is a very close match and that light colour looks a bit like Landrover light green. Maybe they simply ordered the wrong tin?

paint it in any green ( or colour), mine is a different green to original. Im not sure about the colour it is now, but if you are doing touch-up jobs, then it might be better to paint the complete engine.
