After an amazing effort by Ray and Mike, the car won't be ready for the rally after all. :(

Failed MOT last Wednesday on:
NSF wheel bearing
OSR brake cylinder seized
NSR indicator not working [worked before taking to test]
Two tyres needed replacing

It was all sorted by mid Friday evening........

On bleeding the brakes, the OSR pipe sprayed fluid out just missing Ray's hot chocolate.

Oh what a disappointment after so much effort on their part to source bearings [not standard MM] etc.

ReMOT was due 11.30 Sat am

On top of that I've injured my back. Got 'engine - bay - back' !!

Was really looking forward to camping with Mike and Maurice. Feel bad to have let him down after all the help he has given.
But I can't risk getting cold and sleeping on a different surface to my normal bed. I know that from experience.

But at least the pipe leaked then, rather than when I was driving and who knows what could have happened.

Ordered brake pipes and hose for good measure.

Fit and reMOT this week.

Looking for the next rally. I hope this one goes really well [wonder if public transport could get me there....]

A great day and a great venue spoilt by the weather. Some very high quality cars on show today which made the judging very tough. :D

spraying hot oil all over the engine bay.
Is that why some MM's have lasted so well? ;-)
