new fuel tank?

Post by 1mustard »

Hi all, i think i need a fuel tank, has anyone here had a problem with a salon that won't start due to fuel, basically i have taken the fuel line off at the tank end and the tube that goes inside the tank to the swirl pot, feels loose i poked a screwdriver in the end and its moving about a bit, does this mean a new tank i think it does, at the moment i have the pipe in a jerry can under the bonnet so i can move it around the yard!

cheers

Not necessarily - take the fuel sender out and have a look inside. Or - just keep the tank half full...

thats the one, i will have a look through the sender hole and see if i can see anything.
perhaps i could get a secondhand one, but i have had my fingers burnt buying things secondhand for these before, they could be worse than what i already have!
