Fuel Filter

Post by Arthurdaily »

Hi

In the Haynes manual it says, every 12000 miles or so, clean out the gauze fuel filters in the pump and carb... does my 1967 1098 have these filters to clean out? Or does it have some sort of other fuel filter? Thanks!

PS How would you clean 'em, in a bit of petrol?

Cheers :D

Small gauze filter in the base of the electric pump - none in the carb. I suggest you leave well alone unless having fuel starvation problems. Wash with aerosol spray carb cleaner.
