Hi all i am currently in the market for a fuel pump, i am leaning towards an electronic one, however the standard points type is about a £10 cheaper to be quite honest i am happy to pay the extra £10, i just wanted a bit of feedback from anyone who has fitted these, are they really good? good value? or shall i save a £10 and just go for the points type? also they are a standard fit and don't require any other alterations etc?.
Thanks
fuel pump, points or eletronic?

Some have reported problems with electronic pump - the good old points version should last ~ 40/50 years - generally enough for most purposes......

I make you right, i just don't want to be whacking it if it won't work! £62 plus vat at bull motif is a fair price.

I would stick with the good old SU points pumps. I've never had any problems with this type of pump in over 20 years and god knows how many Minors!!

I have ordered a new points one from bull motif, as for not having problems with them i have 2 that are knackered!!!,
i think its when they haven't been used and laid up for a while.
thanks all

I have never failed to 'revive' an old SU pump. They go on for ever!
