I'm down on fresh panel clips, the one's I'm using have lost their spring strength and don't hold the panel tight to the door. There are several I've seen available from Bull and ESM, the plastic type from ESM are a macbeth part, and the bull one's don't show an image. Bit bad really, it's easy enough to get a picture of the product on line. Anyway, the black painted panels look ok. The passenger side one, with the chassis plate pop rivetted on, is from the basket case I purchased from Portsmouth. whereas the drivers side is from the original relic.[frame][/frame]

The folding passenger seat wire brushed off and coated in rust eater gel.[frame][/frame]

there are areas that are too tight to get the angle grinder in, these tight areas will have to get extra coats of the gel.[frame][/frame]

you mite have to alter the position of the door handle to the down position for ease of operation for the passenger

thanks for the tip Dennis, the handle points downward, it makes operation a bit easier.Ive got to refit the trim panel with new clips and a new pull handle.

the folding passenger seat has been washed free of the gel and is now sitting in a slowly drying coat of krust, its turning a nice satisfying gloss black as a result of the chemical reaction.[frame][/frame]

the donor seat upholstery removed and drying on the line, the hessian was salvaged from the pickup relic seats and given a good dunk in soapy water to get rid of any residue from farm yard furries who lived on and in the seats for a great many years. I used car shampoo as its salt free.

all on a bright sunny day, couldn't ask for more when spray painting the folding seat frame with Halfords red primer from a can.[frame][/frame]

nice clean webbing straps provided by the e bay donor seats. The folding seat is coming on in leaps and bounds, very satisfying.[frame][/frame]

two seats at last, the interior is just starting to look like one from an operational Morris Minor Pickup.[frame][/frame]

yes I think it will be popular when its on the road, I got the instrument facia fitted, it cleaned up ok but its a little scuffed.[frame][/frame]

the engine steady bar was stripped, de rusted and the new rubbers fitted, looks good in there.[frame][/frame]

this pipe is a mystery, its a breather or overflow pipe of some sort, I'll have to consult the engine photo achive and see where it goes.[frame][/frame]

That pipe bolts to the left side of the cylinder head and connects the feed off the rubber hose from the water pump to the heater. I'm sure someone's got a photo...

I am seriously in awe of the work you've done, I have watched your thread for about 6 months but only now do I have the guts to comment.

Some serious work has been done hear and I have the utmost respect for you not giving up. I can't wait to see the pickup back on the road.
