What inspection lamp are you using

Post by zippy500 »

looking for a inspection lamp but not what to go for so many differnet types out there, like to get one that is tried and tested.

I was looking at these, but not sure:

dont know wether to go mains, 12v or rechargable.

What would you recommend

Go for a mains one and fit a low energy bulb! The bulbs are extremeloy hard to break and don't generate enough heat to melt carpets or trim ;-)

Anything with a filament bulb will be prone to bulb failure as the element becomes very weak when it's white hot, therefore every movement and knock will reduce its life.

12v bulbs will normally be a bit more robust than 240 volt.
