Hi all . I work for a company based in south wales called Citytax , We have a morris 1000 that we have owned for years and we are currently restoring to be used as a advertisement / novelty private hire taxi as we are the longest established taxi company in swansea. I am here to ask advice more than anything and i shall keep updates on pictures and progress of the vehicle that is currently a care shell in primer.
Currently trying to locate somewhere to purchuse parts from such as the Rubbers that sit between the arches / wings and the body work and some hinges for the bonnets etc. could any one advise on the best place for a quality item yet not paying OTT ?
thanks in advance chris

Sounds good, brother, but we love pictures!
Shops include Bull Motif and ESM -- at least those are the ones I like -- there are other shops available over there including Tom Roy and Birmingham Minors but those are less accessible to an overseas fella like me, so I'm less familiar with them. Just do a Google search for each, they're easily found. I've never had any problem with Bully or ESM, helpful from the word 'go' and pretty competitive pricing.

The way to a man's heart may be making food, but the way to my heart is buying me car parts!

Well worth putting a large enough order together to get free P&P.
People can't believe that you can get parts next day for such an old car, but you can.

The rubbers you refer to are called wing piping and come in many colours. Stocked by all morris suppliers. Depends on what colour the car will eventually be. It's usually done to co-ordinate with the interior upholstery.

there are conversions out there, there are various hidden strengthening bits too.
You will need to read up very carefully as the DVLA regs have gotten a lot more strict recently. By modifying the shell it may have severe implications on the registration and also mot implications.
