Dove Grey & door mirrors
Hello Again Everyone
Apologies in advance if there is another place I should ask this question.
We have a 2 door Minor which is supposed to be Dove Grey. We do not think it is. Please can anyone who has a genuine Dove Grey Minor post a couple of pictures for us to have a look at. We are members of the MMOC.
We will be attending shows this year and will be on the look out for Dove Grey Minors to compare to ours.
Our car is a 1964 Minor 1000.
Thanks a lot
CowleyKids.

There's photos of a dove grey car in this thread: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... =dove+grey
You could always post a picture of your own car so that people can get a better idea of what colour it is. It may have been resprayed in a non-standard colour at some point.

Re: Dove Grey
Mine's Dove Grey according to Millennium Motors who sold her, but resprayed at some point in its life...although just how many Minors out there still sport their original finish? The door inners and bumpers seem to be a darker shade of grey. [frame]

Re: Dove Grey
Thank you to those of you who have replied. As Louise mentioned I will post a picture of our car which is more of a Fawn colour. The pictures posted show how I thought our car should look as the dash rail and under door rubbers etc...... is definately a different colour than what is on the extrernal bodywork. I want our car to be the original colour or as close as possible too.
Thanks again.

We are trying to get door mirrors like yours. Please can you advise where you got them and how they fit. We have got mirror clamped onto the quarter light windows, the drivers one is ok but the passenger side you need to be a giraffe to see anything.
I have put a post on here asking for advice on mirrors.
By the way your car looks great. Iam going to post a picture of ours on here soon.
All the best.
The Kids.

Re: Dove Grey
Hi TheKids,
They were already fitted when I got the car. I've sent Dom, the car's last owner who fitted the mirrors, a message via Facebook asking where he got them.
I'll probably be hunting down some touch-up paint fairly soon, unfortunately the dreaded rust's started bubbling through some of the favourite places now
- that pic was taken nearly a year ago for the insurance.

Re: Dove Grey
These mirrors look similar. They fit to the corner of the quarterlight: http://www.morris-minor.org/round-wingd ... e1d8f2554f

Yes, those seem to be pretty much the same as mine - the important thing is they're convex as opposed to flat, the wing mirrors on mine are nigh-on useless as they're flat glass.

Re: Dove Grey
Thanks to all who replied with suggestions. The link for the mirrors that Louise has sent seem to be the ticket.
Sorry to hear about the rust Bernard.
Nice one.

I will still post the pictures of our car.

Re: Dove Grey
Good morning Louise & Everyone else.
We still have not purchased these mirrors yet as the cost is "£34"!!!! However we cannot find any, any where else.
If anyone has these mirrors fitted please can you let us know if they have plenty of adjustment. We would hate to buy them only to find that they are not much use.
As ever thank you for reading and helping.
All the best.

Re: Dove Grey
Morning
There have been a few threads here regarding quarterlight mirrors and opinion seems to be mixed as to whether they are any good or not:

(ps: I've edited the thread title as it may attract more of a response from door mirror owners who don't have dove grey cars!)
