Hi,
I have come move dist drive as vaccum advance was to far round pointing at 3 0clock instead of around 1 oclock.took dist out screwed bolt into drive pulled it out (but to far) now cant get car to run correct,
I have set timming marks and number one piston to tdc inserted drive to what i thought was correct started up and now she runs on what appears to be 3 cylinders checked by pulling each lead off and all plugs are firring, firring order is right.
Checked manual and it says insert drive with the larger segment of drive isto the topand right hand side of slot is just below horizontal, dont understand what this means as cant see a difference in segments.
Hope some one could help pictures would be nice.
Many thanks
Allan

Re: Help distributor drive.
There IS a difference - but it's not a lot. The position doesn't matter for the running of the engine - just fiddle it back and forth to get the timing right.

Re: Help distributor drive.
Which engine have you got?
From memory the dizzy drive doesn't easily come in and out at #1TDC with a 1098 as it fouls the skirt of #3 piston.
