I was keen on some of the parts, but I know a few people are interested so I'm keeping off it!
There's been various people chasing either for heads or blocks so that's one auction for a nearly-scrap engine that'll definately sell.

If it helps, I'm after the manifold and the brass water pipe. The other bits would be surplus. If anyone else is planning to bid then we might come to some sensible arrangement. I'm guessing that Ray wants the front pulley? :D

Is anyone after the block, sump and rods etc? The manifold and possibly the head are Ford items.

Yes please.
Also to replace parts that got lost by a garage: Starter dog + washers would be useful. I can't see what parts are sitting in the sump but they may be there.

And finally - I'm still waiting for the water jacket housing to be repaired, so it's not certain. They are available new but for £80 + VAT and delivery it starts to get expensive... hopefully the repair will be successful, but we may need one.

Ray wants the pulley and starter dog to replace my pulley and starter dog which are now on Chrissie's engine.
On closer inspection the head is not Morris, the offset plug holes are a clue.
I was thinking of bidding myself, shall we discuss this off forum?

Nice to see you yesterday mike! i hope you didn't get stuck in any bank holiday traffic on the way home.

Later on I realised I made a mistake yesterday - I FORGOT to come over in my 54!
I had taxed it on Saturday especially :x

Seeing a pride of Minors on the drive would have given the neighbours an even better view. One of them thought your MM was Chrissie's car and he was then confused as to why I had the engine on the kitchen table as he'd seen the car driving.

For the replacement bits - I'm happy to cover any cost needed in the short term if you guys want to do a share of the ebay lot.

Traffic was ok going home and the engine was pulling well despite the strong wind.
How can you forget to drive a Morris Minor?
Maybe soon we will get all three Minors on the drive.
I will dig out the pulley washers and post them off.

If you get the parts how about making copies of the brass water pipe. I would be interested and I think Squiggle was looking for one and probably a few more, going by the people looking for sidevalve water pumps in the last while

£143 at the moment. I guess that is OK if you want the water pump, pulley and water heater pipework but it is out of my league!

I can't imagine anyone will be planning to rebuild it since there isn't a crank with it and they seem to be harder to get.

that certainly fetched far more than I was expecting!
I guess who ever got it must have really needed the bits, and if they do come on the forum they ought to buy one of your spare engines Rob!
