stickies

Post by guymcc »

Hi there,
being new to the site are there stickies/ 'how to' on here? I'm looking for one to change/overhaul the brakes all round. I can't seem to find one?

Cheers

A Workshop Manual is essential especially where safety is involved

Just Google for Morris Minor Workshop Manual.....
But the Minor brakes are very simple - take the drums off - inspect the shoes - check for cylinder movement - if seized or leaking, renew them. If the shoes are worn or oil contaminated, renew them. Refit drums. Simples !! Any specific problems - just ask on here - there is always someone on 'duty' to answer any queries.

Cheers for the reply,

The cylinder movement... do I need someone to function the brake pedal whilst I look at it to see what it is doing? And what should it be doing, ref the back brakes?
Or can i tell by having a play with it directly? :D :D

You really didn't have to 'buy' a manual  But your questions are no 'bother' - everyone here is more than happy to assist fellow Minor Owners!
