my brake lights have stopped working, I guessed it was not the bulbs, chances both had gone were I reckon small but checked them anyway and they are both fine, I assume its the switch,I had a bad earth on the main beam switch a few weeks ago and sorted this but where exactly is the brake light switch and any tips on how to solve this problem?-many thanks in advance

Look down the left hand side of the radiator and on the engine bay floor underneath it the will be a Tee junction with two wires going into it.
That's it!

Switch is in the right hand corner of the engine bay near the bottom of the rad, where the three brake pipes join. It has two wires attached to it.
Support the joint in the brake pipes and unscrew the switch and replace it. If you lower the front of the car so that the switch is below the master cylinder you will not get air in the system when you change switches
