Every so often (and becoming more regular) the inner speedo cable keeps coming out of the main unit (the outer cable is still tight). Does the inner cable come in different lengths (if not does anyone know the correct length) or have any ideas why this would happen?
Thanks
Rob

Re: Speedo Cable Keeps Falling Out
Maybe your outer cable is damaged and stretched?
Or a piece of inner cable is broken near the end on the square drive? If this is the case you will need to remove the broken piece before fitting a new cable. You can check by seeing how far the cable goes into the speedo and the drive.
Or more likely someone has fitted just an (aftermarket) inner cable and it's too short!
In any case, sounds like you need a new cable and at £6.50 plus VAT or whatever it's an easy fix!

Re: Speedo Cable Keeps Falling Out
Thanks for the reply, the inner looks fine so going for a new cable sounds the quickest solution.
