It is a joint venture between myself and "KalKat" and when its done it will be something special! We don't want to give the aims of the project away at this early stage but you will get to see what happens when it happens.
It was purchased from RayofLeamington a few months ago and this is the first chance we have had to do anything serious with it.
Unfortunately I forgot to get any before pictures - prehaps you could help Ray?, or any until Sunday come to that!
Anyway, on Thursday it was a more or less complete pickup and here are some photos to show our progress up to Sunday...
On Friday we started the job at about 3pm and removed the engine - which was promply sold and collected on Saturday!
On Saturday the cab back, the sides, and the bed floor were removed which left us with this on Sunday morning:

At this point I would like to share the "repair" to the rear chassis...
Constructed of box section and some rather heavy duty angle iron!At this point all appeared to be well except for that bodge and this one...
So we took the front suspension off, unbolted the cab (and ground a few bolts off) and we ended up with
We lifted the cab on to a trailer and tipped it up to asses underneath
And other than right at the back its all pretty reasonable, but the chassis needs a little work
Everything else was loaded on to the trailer and taken to the "field" for temporary storage under a tarp
And its sharing the field with these reprobates...
It may be a few weeks before any more progress is made so don't expect regular updates!
which is why it's still a pigs breakfast.
