Lacquer over paint

Hi all
Just about finished doing a blow over on my series 2.
2 quick questions if I may.
1/.Do I Flat & compound the paint then polish it and THEN lacquer it OR
2/. Do I flat then lacquer then compound then polish ?
3/. Am i doing it all totally wrong?

As Louise points out - Classic cars like Minors don't usually have any lacquer top coat. It's generally reserved for metallic finishes. But - it's YOUR car - do as you please!

No need for lacquer on the Morris Minor. Paint it with cellulose paint, then after the paint had fully dried (a week or so to be on the safe side), wet sand any runs and orange peel with 1200 then 2000 grit paper, then compound the car (preferably with a polishing machine) and finally wax the car to protect the paint. (Carnauba wax).
