Come on guys, there was a vote for this forum and we all said that we would use it.
Lets show that we are going to use it.
What has everyone been up to recently on their cars?
I went to Technoclassica in Germany and was pleasantly surprised to see the german branch there with 3 minors. (slightly over shaddowed by the numerous 330SL`s nearby.
I have not been able to spend much time on Igor recently because too many of my friends keep buying wrecks
I'm currently really busy with uni work, dissertation and revision to be getting on with. In the spare time I've have I've been waxing the car ready for a wedding I'm doing on Saturday

Yes it is, but the facebook group has far more conversations and posts on. Young kids these days... I've bought another zetec engine, a 1.4 injected already in rwd format, picking it up at the weekend. Then mocking up engine mounts etc to hopefully go in the everyday minor
Last weekend we had a photoshoot with Russ from Minor Monthly. He took some shots for a branch profile on the Birmingham Branch, and a few individual photoshoots for articles on individual cars. Keep an eye out for Bluey in the next few months
this weekend we've got the Pride of Longbridge rally on saturday opposite the longbridge 'factory', and on sunday there's the Birmingham Branch annual rally at Witley Court, Worcs. Here's hoping for weather like last weekend!
Currently on the car front, Bluey's running even hotter than normal in this recent weather, and i'm considering 'wrapping' my exhaust to keep the heat in the exhaust and out of the engine bay. Has anyone had any experience wrapping an LCB? looks fiddly to me!
I got my wheels powder-coated, purchased a new custom loom from Autosparks, and am about to return home for the summer so I can fit it all together! Up here at "university" I've gone through some indecision, changing my major (do you guys do the major/minor system?) around between subjects a number of times. I think I'm settling on theology, interestingly!
The way to a man's heart may be making food, but the way to my heart is buying me car parts!
Come read about my Minor at An American Moggie.
Went to a car show today in Weston-Super-Mare, bit of a last minute decision but it was a great day . Got to meet 'Ben93' and have a look at his car, great guy and his car was looooooovely
Really looking forward to meeting up with other younger members now - BRING ON THE SHOWS!
(slightly hyped up after a great day out )

I have been trying to stop my traveller exhaust from blowing so much...i believe i have fixed it....but i am getting some exhaust cloth asap to make sure for certain it's fixed .
I have got a couple of bit's of welding that need attention for the MOT as well as two sections of wood which need replacing...EXPENSIVE MUCH....So these will be on hold till i win the lottery.....
Grant Carter, 18 and owns Merlin 'the magic' Morris Minor
Fixed Marthas poorly eye (thank you Chris!) but didn't get new bits for her as the Morris Minor Centre was closed when we got there! Boooo!!!
Next on the list though, I want to get the heater working, and possibly add a cigarette lighter. Should be interesting as I haven't the faintest clue about cars, let alone the electrics. Prepare for many questions and a fair amount of crying
I have been pootling around in Marthat & really getting to love her more & more. Hoping to make it to National & meet some of you
It's too depressing coming on here and seeing all these perfect shiney minors! Anyone drive a skip other than me? I say drive, look at it on the driveway! My newly purchased traveller is coming on leaps and bounds. Took the wooden shelf out the boot today too properly inspect the wheel arches. It made me slightly more optimistic but then I see another chunk of crossmember fall off in the breeze......

Absolutely, my car is fully patinated, I wouldn't call it a skip though, it wears it's history with pride.
I could get it tarted up with paint and filler so it looks like all the rest, but I resist, there are plenty of shiny perfect looking Minors already.
P.S. That's not my car in my sig picture! I wash it occasionally

The chassis is ok, but the rest of it is a tip! lots of scratches on her, she is pretty mucky at the mo too, I love her just how she is, it's part of her charm
