Anybody know of the videos on the Nordisk Morris Minor site in Denmark ? (www.morrisminor.dk)

Click on "ENGLISH" then "SRILANKA", there videos of Minors over there, would seem that there's another Businessman (Danish) and Buddists and Morris Minors. Interesting.

Did you watch the whole series of them? Parts 1-4? :D

Can't disagree with your comment but at least they have/are developing the much need skills that this country seemed to loose a long time ago :(

The skills are still alive and well in the UK- go on a college night school vehicle restoration course and you will be able to make many panels for yourself from sheet steel.

Aye, yes. Individuals have the skills, no denying that. Should have made myself clearer, what I meant was the car and spare part manufacturing industry has all but disappeared in the UK.

morrisminor.dk is a useful address for spare parts for LHD Minors - got one or two bits from them.

It's a shame CW never got round to producing the full bodyshells he mentions in the film. If they had, perhaps more of the ~50,000 Minors that have been scrapped over the last 20 years (if his figure of 80k is correct) would have been saved. I wonder how many are still going in Sri Lanka too?

Also, anyone else notice the 47.7p/l petrol :o

I just watched all 4, quite interesting, how long ago was it made as he is lots older than that.

I also had to have a little chuckel as its a massive advert for a Trader, which I thought was frowned upon.

It says 1991 at the beginning of the first video.

Commercial advertising or business information posted by a trader or business, or someone acting for a trader or business, would be contrary to the site T&C’s but as far as I’m aware Matt doesn’t own or work for the company in question, nor is he acting on behalf of the company (unless you know otherwise). Some might say that your signature could be considered to be more of an ‘advert’ for the company in question than clips from a 20 year old TV documentary!

And just a reminder to all that the T&C’s also state "You agree not to negatively criticise any individual, organisation, product or service" so I’ve had to remove a couple of critical comments from this thread.

I'd like to thank you Louise, for removing my critical comments (they were not really- just comments) about C Ware, thus ensuring that I abide by the Terms and Conditions (naugty boy that I am  ) to see this video on the other Morris Minor Forum site, go to http://morrisminorowners.co.uk/about316 ... highlight=

I really enjoyed the video though, and would like to say I totally agree with the "Durable car" concept and applaud Charles Ware's work in the 1970's and 1980's which practically kick started the whole Morris Minor scene.
