Severn Valley Railway 60s weekend 20-22 May 2011

Post by woodiesenfrance »

Anybody going to this?
http://www.svr.co.uk/SpecialEvents.aspx, then click on 'Sounds of the 60s for the details.
60s Minors invited, so see this web link, or the notice in the current (March-April) Minor Matters, page 6.
If you are there, in a Minor or not, say 'hi' to the guys with the Froggie Moggie, a white convertible, it's coming all the way from here (Lot valley, SW France) with Chris Hall & Mick Archer. Mick's a train buff, so much so that even some of the engines on the line are his!

Hi. I went last year and although we had a very cold weekend we (my wife and myself) enjoyed it very much. Lots to see & do. Loads of interesting vehicles. I can't make it this year as I am organising our South Wales Branch rally in Cardiff.
Good luck with your travells.[frame]Image[/frame]

i'll be there!

i'll probably be shunned for having a modified car, but i could argue that they're mostly 'period' modifications!

apparently most of the minors will be all together at one station, not sure which one, but i think that's the one i'll be at!

Well i made it... eventually! set out nice and early, got about a mile and my headgasket gave up! :(

having had them go before on other engines i new exactly what it was, so did a u-turn, ditched it at home, and hitched a ride with my parents!

a quick 'thumb test' this evening tells me it's gone between 1 and 2. That'll keep me occupied in the 4 days i've got before setting of for MOT2011!
